Coquito Recipe



Coquito is a traditional Christmas drink that originated in Puerto Rico. The coconut and rum based dink shares similarites to eggnog, sometimes being called the Puerto Rican Eggnog.

  • Blender
  • Glass bottle or mason jar


  • 3/4 Cup White rum   
  • 3/4 Cup Spiced rum
  • 14 oz Can sweetened condensed milk 
  • 14 oz Can of Cream of coconut (like Coco Lopez) 
  • 1/8 tsp Nutmeg 
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon 
  • 12 oz Can of Evaporated milk              


  • Cinnamon sticks
  • 4 oz Cinnamon and sugar for Rim (optional)
  • 2 oz Simple Syrup


  • Combine all ingredients in a blender blend thouroughly
  • Pour ingredients in to glass jar or container preferably
  • Refrigerate until thrououghly chilled (1-2 hrs minimum)
  • Dip rim of glass Simple Syrup then in Cinnamon and sugar mixture
  • Garnish with cinnamon stick
